Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and experienced Maintenance Technician to assist with the daily maintenance and upkeep of a residential condominium building.

The ideal candidate should be hands-on, reliable, able to troubleshoot common building and apartment maintenance issues, and comfortable interacting professionally with residents. This position will work closely with building management and the superintendent to complete work orders, preventative maintenance, repairs, and general building projects.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident and building maintenance work orders
• Perform general repairs throughout the property
• Troubleshoot basic plumbing issues, including leaks, faucets, toilets, and drains
• Perform minor electrical repairs, including switches, outlets, fixtures, and lighting
• Perform drywall patching, painting, caulking, and minor carpentry
• Repair and adjust doors, locks, hardware, and fixtures
• Assist with preventative maintenance throughout the building
• Inspect common areas and report maintenance or safety concerns
• Assist with apartment and common-area repairs
• Maintain building equipment, tools, and maintenance areas
• Assist with deliveries, contractor access, and building projects when needed
• Respond to maintenance concerns in a timely and professional manner
• Maintain accurate records of completed work
• Communicate with management regarding repairs requiring outside vendors
• Assist with emergency maintenance situations when required
• Perform other building maintenance duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous building, apartment, condominium, or facilities maintenance experience preferred
• General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and basic repairs
• Ability to troubleshoot maintenance problems independently
• Comfortable using hand and power tools
• Strong attention to detail
• Reliable and punctual
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team
• Ability to safely perform physical maintenance duties, including lifting, bending, climbing ladders, and working on your feet throughout the shift
• Basic computer or smartphone skills for receiving and updating work orders

Experience working in a high-rise residential building, condominium, apartment community, or property management environment is a plus.
